The Feather's Hotel has been an important part of Holt, since it was established on the site of the old cattle market in 1650.During the 19th Century the 'Regulator' coach used to depart from the Hotel, three times a week, for the fourteen hour journey to London.Around that time the first landlord, Mr Cubitt Cooke, was visited by an author named Peter Bull.
