Angélique Rooms are located in the heart of Dartmouth's pretty town centre. We offer cosy rooms, and an award-winning, modern restaurant called The Angel, Dartmouth. The Angel, Dartmouth is on the waterfront, just a short stroll from the rooms. The restaurant features an open kitchen, and serves seasonal and local produce.Dartmouth is known as the jewel in the South Hams. With coast, countryside and river on the doorstep you can explore by road, river or steam train. The ancient town has an abundance of interesting buildings dating as far back as 1380.The restaurant sits on the South embankment, which is idyllic for a stroll by the river where the views of Kingswear with its jewel coloured houses create a natural backdrop. The town's main event is the Regatta, which takes place in August. It is supported by several festivals throughout the year including the music festival in May, the food festival in October and, more recently, the comedy festival in February. Please note: Please note that the check-in and collection of room keys is carried out at The Angel restaurant which is located on the South Embankment, a 5-minute walk away from the rooms. Breakfast will also be served at The Angel, Dartmouth.Getting to The Angelique Rooms51 Victoria Road, Dartmouth, TQ6 9RTComing from the North Take the M5 and continue past Exeter where the motorway becomes the A38 Devon Express Way. Follow the A38 towards Plymouth (although maps will tell you to head to Torquay) and take the junction sign posted for Buckfastleigh, Totnes and Dartmouth. Turn left at the junction and follow the road through Dartington towards Totnes. As you come into Totnes you will approach a set of traffic lights, turn right. At the next set of traffic lights go straight over heading towards Dartmouth. The road continues for approx 6 miles passing through Harbertonford. After going through the small village of Halwell turn left immediately after the BP garage. This road heads straight into Dartmouth. When you get to Dartmouth the first roundabout you will get to will be for the Park and Ride, go across this roundabout and the next mini roundabout. You will drive down a steep hill into Dartmouth with the Naval College on your left. Follow the signs for the town centre and drive along the waterfront until you can see the inner harbour on your right. Take the one-way system right around the inner harbour and take the first left (before Natwest bank). Continue along this road, The Angelique Rooms can be found on the left opposite the post office.Arriving from the ferryIf you arrive by ferry into Dartmouth, head towards the town centre until you reach the inner harbour. Take a left after the Royal Castle Hotel before the Natwest bank. The Angelique Rooms can be found on the left opposite the post office. Less
