About Us
MIC is a social enterprise providing quality budget hotel services and meeting facilities. The business supports international and home students studying in London, providing affordable accommodation, in a multi-cultural, multi-faith environment.
Founded in 1950, the centre was originally known as Methodist International House and was based in Bayswater, West London. Our founder was Hilda Porter, a Methodist Missionary, who started the organisation after returning to post-war Britain from ... Morethe Far East, upon discovering that London did not really offer a secure environment for foreign students to live whilst studying in the Capital.
Since 1998 we have occupied Euston House, a handsome building in Euston Street just a few minutes walk from Euston station. We continue to house over eighty students from all over the world, studying over 20 disciplines in some of the best colleges in London.
In addition, we operate a 100-bedroom AA 4-star hotel. Each room is a double en-suite with LCD tv, climate control, tea/coffee facilities, Broadband access, hypo-allergenic bedding, safe, hair dryer and double glazed VELUX windows. Also, half of our rooms can be turned to twins, two are triples and two more are adapted for those staying who may have mobility challenges.
From a conference perspective we offer 17 meeting rooms of various sizes. From 120 delegates to 2, we can accommodate a wide variety of meetings, seminars, training courses and AGMs. The rooms all come with basic AV equipment and we can provide PA systems, laptops, projectors and teleconferencing facilities.
Our Atrium Lounge is a perfect area to relax, catch up on some e-mails or have a 1-to1 meeting over a coffee and light snack. It is adjacent to the Atrium Restaurant which serves a varied hot buffet to our conference guests.
